You know there is a joke that Harvard students can’t count and MIT students can’t read. CS50 is the equivalent of a college semester at Harvard and a great introduction to computer science fundamentals, which is useful no matter what kind of programming you do afterward. Of course, I can only speak for my personal experience, but Harvard interviews should be relatively standard because alumni undergo training. Another pro of Harvard engineering is that you get to take advantage of the new Allston campus, Harvard’s state-of-the-art engineering complex that just opened in 2021. Calculus isn’t different just because it is taught at Harvard instead of a state school. If you go to Columbia but can't crack 140 on the LSAT you better have some really nice family connections to get into a top law school. With that in mind, interviews make up a small amount of your application. zjlwhv
